I'm not sure about you, but I seldom check my laptop's battery percentage down to the smallest numbers.

It appears there are two distinct figures being discussed.

This isn't about restricting how long a laptop battery lasts. It's about not sacrificing its performance for the sake of extending its life when the battery is affordable and simple to swap out. The additional time you gain isn't worth reducing the device's usability by such a significant amount.

For other devices like AirPods, it's still worthwhile to try to extend their lifespan since replacing the battery is difficult.

Improving the lifespan of my laptop battery is also crucial for me, as it benefits the environment more. A while back, I went to a used battery recycling place and was really surprised by how many batteries were being thrown away each month.

Many individuals keep their laptops plugged in all the time, causing the battery to stay near 100% constantly. A friend suggested that maintaining a constant 100% charge can actually harm the battery more over time, whereas keeping the laptop at about 80% charge is more manageable and still effective. I’m not certain about this, but it seems like a reasonable point to consider.
