Hello, I own this laptop: Acer Aspire VX15 / VX5-591G. The issue is the fans are spinning at full speed because the GPU has failed. The only workaround I discovered is adjusting RWeverything settings and changing the value to 189 in the EC tab. It’s now set to "12." I looked into it and found that the default should be 52, which adjusts fan speeds based on temperature. Once I changed it, everything works fine. However, there’s no way to automatically launch this program at startup with fans running at maximum, and I can’t save this setting permanently in ROM. I need to manually open the program every time I start up so the fans are loud, then adjust the settings each time. Is there another method to permanently store this setting or to enable RWeverything on startup with the desired fan behavior? Also, how did the GPU fail? For several months now, I’ve experienced around four BSODs related to the GPU, and sometimes the display would just shut down unexpectedly—usually during video playback when the dedicated GPU starts. After some time, I suspect the GTX 1050 burned out. It no longer appears in BIOS or system settings, so it’s not an issue. Since this machine is used only for work and is old, running it solely on the integrated Intel 630 is fine. Thank you!
