Laptop 3070
I checked my older Lenovo Legion 5 with 5800H and 3070 130W. CPU-Z shows 115W, while my notes mention GPU power spikes reaching 120W. I haven’t tested under heavy GPU loads recently, so I might explore this later. Consider running GPU-Z and observing power use during demanding graphics tasks, particularly when CPU load is low, as that could impact the GPU budget.
I performed several demanding graphical tests. The best reported performance came with Fire Strike Ultra, delivering 120W on the board and 95W on the chip. On the desktop side, Nvidia GPUs usually show board power instead of chip power. I’m curious if the 115W could be the chip ceiling, but it seems the board might reach its limit earlier. It might be a core-heavy program that doesn’t strain VRAM as much that it raises core usage.
