I'm having trouble connecting Rome 2 custom battles over LAN. After I set up the game, my brother tried joining but the connection was unstable—servers showed poor connectivity. Both devices were linked via Ethernet, but the internet speed was only 100mbps. No one else was using Wi-Fi or the network. I've checked updates, drivers, disabled large send offload, and adjusted firewall settings, but nothing works. Any advice would be really helpful.

Consider updating the ports on your router for external access and enabling the Windows Firewall on every computer.

Small update that I don't understand. The game allows P2P but still has poor connection. Any ideas? @Falcon1986

I’ll guide you back to your Windows Firewall. Consider allowing the game’s main file through it. If that fails, you’ll need to route the required ports.
