Nope. Qemu does not emulate a GPU, it just passes them through to the VM without interfering at all. To my knowledge there's no way to get a 2000 series GPU to work in a MacOS VM.

It doesn't perform well overall. KVM struggles with virtual GPUs, especially for 3D acceleration. It might work for a build server or similar, but I'd avoid the GUI. VirtualBox seems like a better option, though it won't be perfect.

MacOS doesn't support GPUs beyond the GTX 10 series (1060, 1070, 1080, etc.). The newest supported cards are only available on macOS versions as recent as 10.13 High Sierra, which is five years old. Running a GPU designed for an older OS won't deliver good performance, especially if you need acceleration. The best option is to purchase a card from AMD. Prices for models like the RX 570 and RX 580 have fallen a lot recently, making it affordable to get one that works.

Thanks a lot! I'll check these cards before deciding if they fit my budget.
