Known details about the GPU
Hi there, your recent purchase seems mixed up with some confusing details. The email you received mentioned a 9900ks, but it actually came from a company you source parts from. It turned out to be a 9900kf instead—thanks for the clarification! Since it’s a kf, certain features like Intel vPro Platform Eligibility, SIPP, and Trusted Execution Technology aren’t available. Also, because of the iGPU requirement, those parts can’t be returned. I’ll use it later without worrying about the cost. I dug a bit and found some differences between the 9900k and kf models. Let me know if you need a clearer breakdown! Cheers!
I believe the key missing parts of the KF are the absence of a GPU, which means Intel Quicksync isn't available. Quicksync is useful for specific video editing or recording software. Think about the i7 10700(K); it offers similar core count to the 9900K but with better performance per core. It also needs a different motherboard. If the Ryzen 5000 were an option, it might be worth considering. I’m not very familiar with these specs, so I’m unsure if they’re essential.
Hey Savage! Your feedback is appreciated! Keep up the effort to understand, and remember—don’t get carried away with processors when you’re not ready!
