For AMD CPUs "Black Edition" indicates an unlocked configuration (like the Black Edition FX-8350), while for Intel CPUs a "K" at the end signifies an unlocked status (such as the i7 7700K).

That's a pleasant addition, but they'll need to resolve the memory problems. Progress is being made through BIOS updates.
