It's really about finding the right balance. You don't need the absolute best GPU, but it should work well with a capable CPU for smooth gaming. A powerful setup is fine, but too much RAM or overclocking won't help if your storage is slow. It's all about matching components for optimal performance.

But then once more, consider this: you might play using just the CPU (though not always), thanks to its built-in graphics, and if you don't have a CPU, things get tough.

A simple GPU works well even with a modest CPU and a powerful graphics card.

Power supply is essential for the CPU and GPU to function properly. A poor or low-quality PSU can cause many problems. When setting up a new system, I always advise using a reputable brand—at least 10-15% of the total cost should go toward a top-tier power supply.

The core of any PC lies with the individual who operates it. You are both the creator and the user, shaping the setup and utilizing its features. Your requirements and abilities define the entire setup. Consider thinking creatively beyond conventional ideas.

GPU is great for gaming, but CPU is crucial for running games smoothly. Prioritize CPU over GPU.

Check it out when I started assembling my first custom PC about a year ago. I had an i3 4170 plus GTX 970, then I decided to purchase a 25$ LC Power 600W PSU. Lucky I stumbled upon this forum offering it for just 25 dollars! Sounds incredible!

PSU leads, then GPU, followed by CPU—within practical limits. Avoid mixing a 980Ti with a Celeron or pairing an i7 with a GT 610. Logic and balance matter too.
