Key Ballistix 3000mhz CL15 compared to HyperX Predator 3000mhz CL15
Hello, I have a chance to swap my RAM. I own a Crucial Ballistix Sport LT Grey DDR4 32GB (2x16) at 3000MHz CL15, which I successfully optimized to 3600MHz CL16 without issues. I also have a HyperX Predator DDR4 RGB 32GB kit at 3000MHz CL15 with HX430C15PB3AK2/32. Would you think I could do the same for HyperX? I’m interested in getting RGB support too.
The main concern is which chips fit the models well. Some perform better than others. I remember hearing about a “b” type chip that worked especially well—possibly from Samsung. I’m not sure anymore. If you don’t overclock the RAM, they’ll act the same. Since I don’t overclock RAM, I haven’t learned which one might be superior in that way.
Even if we actually new the rest of the system specs, nobody can see the future of your decisions or purchase and how any hardware will react to an overclock. I think 50% chance, flip a coin that a different make and model memory will overclock exactly the same as the last set of memory.
