Hey, I noticed this problem where your system would suddenly shut down during games. Checking Event Viewer shows multiple kernel power errors with code 63. This could stem from the system failing to respond, crashing, or losing power abruptly. Event XML details are attached. Issues often appear during gaming and disappear afterward. Symptoms include frequent black screens every few minutes, not BSODs or errors. I’ve tried several fixes—clean install, driver updates, BIOS reset, overclock disabled, memory tests—but nothing resolved it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Shashank.
Hey there! I’m not sure if this will help, but I’ve faced similar kernel power 41 issues with code 63 on my RX6900XT before. I’ve tried almost everything you mentioned, and after testing it elsewhere, I concluded the GPU was faulty. They sent me a replacement through RMA. ASUS confirmed it was defective during their internal tests.
I have a card from Galax; I plan to bring it to a friend's place for testing. Can a weak GPU still handle Furmark and other benchmarks? I don’t believe I can locate the card’s price, and customer support in India seems unreliable, so the chance of getting a replacement is low. Would you recommend any GPU under $300 based on my specs? Thanks a ton!
The test indicated a problem early on, possibly due to the power supply struggling with rapid load changes.
I don't understand the specific GPU settings or parameters you're using. Have you tried running the GPU on someone else's machine as you recommended earlier? If so, I might need to consider that. Other participants in this discussion could offer alternative ideas.
I haven’t had a chance to visit or test it myself yet. I attempted to cap the power at 70% using MSI Afterburner on my GPU, and it’s functioning properly after about two hours. I’ve included a screenshot of my furmark here. Also, I tried the 1920x1080 resolution as well.
