My Kaspersky plan ends soon, and I have a few points to ask. How do Kaspersky Internet Security 2015 and 2016 differ mainly in price? Also, are there other options besides Kaspersky? I appreciate the protected browser feature you use for online shopping—it would be great to find something similar. Over the years, Kaspersky has effectively blocked threats, though it’s only failed once (an unknown virus infection).
I just moved from 15 to 16, and it feels almost identical except for a slight improvement. I haven’t seen any changes in its performance beyond possibly a faster start. Overall, it’s pretty much the same thing.
Bitdefender stands out as one of the top choices, highly praised among users. Right now, Kaspersky and Bitdefender are considered the best two in terms of ratings, making it easy to decide—no need to worry about which is superior.
If you enjoy Kaspersky, purchase another license and feel good about it. I use Kaspersky and am satisfied with my choice.
It seems quite fast overall, but some apps slowed down. I didn’t test Kaspersky since I didn’t have it available.
I believe we really need some improvement here, or we should look into suitable software options. This question seems excessive. The discussion thread should remain focused, but it’s important to review it for accuracy first. On the other hand: for free antivirus protection, consider Avira or Bitdefender. Bitdefender is lighter on resources, though it offers fewer customization choices. If you prefer a paid solution, Kaspersky or Avira would be better options. I’d likely choose Kaspersky because their team has uncovered many security vulnerabilities in the past. You might also explore AVTEST, an independent organization that evaluates antivirus programs (Bitdefender and Kaspersky rank first). Avoid using Avast!—it’s not reliable. Check out Malwarebytes instead; it’s not an antivirus but a scanner. Be sure to decline the trial version and turn it off at startup.
