Hello Everyone, I increased my monitor's clock speed from 60hz to 80hz. Everything appears normal in Windows, the Nvidia control panel shows 80hz, and display properties reflect that. The problem arises when opening games—attempting to set the game to 80hz fails for some reason. (Overwatch reads at 60hz, R6 Siege at 59.96hz, with no way to raise the frequency further.)
I’m uncertain why this isn’t working. It seems Windows might be affected, as two of my monitors are at 60hz and only one is at 80hz (just testing on the center one). Additionally, I encountered another issue when overclocking via DVI-D: I managed to reach 80hz, but the text displayed pixelated while the video played smoothly. It’s unclear what’s happening, though I suspect the panel can handle 80hz but the electronics aren’t supporting it with DVI-D.
Overclocking monitors is a bit unusual, but I’ve done it before and never faced these problems. Especially since my monitors are only 1080p.
I left the control panel open, which seems to reset the overclock in games, but once I exit, it returns to 80hz. I'm not sure why this happens, but it's an update.
