Ke no boot manager
Ke no boot manager
I received my new M.2 NVMe SSD today, installed it, and encountered an error during startup labeled "0xc000000e". Later, when booting, the system reported "no OS found." After using CMD, attempting "bootrec /fixboot" consistently triggered "access is denied." I’m unsure how to resolve this without reinstalling Windows. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Operating system: Windows 10 64 bit
To start in safe mode, restart your device and press the appropriate key during boot (often F12 or Esc). For the error you're seeing, try rebooting and ensure your system is updated.
Today morning I installed my new M.2 NVME SSD but Windows didn’t start. Even after removing it, the issue continued. Initially I saw a blue screen error code 0xc000000e indicating the SSD was still present. Once that appeared, I removed the drive from my computer. Later I managed to reach a black screen stating "BOOTMGR is missing." I searched for solutions and found several suggestions. It seems I need to boot from a USB or disk running Windows 10 to use CMD for repairs. Several commands are recommended, such as bootrec /fixboot, bootrec /fixmbr, and bootrec /rebuildbcd. All of them work except the one that says "Access is denied." I suspect fixing that message could resolve the whole problem. I’ve found many guides online offering possible fixes for this error. If anyone can help clarify this, it would be greatly appreciated.
The M.2 was mounted as the boot drive. All other storage devices were removed prior to installing Windows to ensure the system recognized the M.2 as the primary boot source.
At a glance I believe Windows treats the M.2 as a boot device even though it wasn't installed as a primary boot source. It may attempt to start from there despite missing boot files. Review the BIOS settings to see the boot device sequence and confirm the M.2 isn’t listed first.
I also deleted the M.2 earlier. I’ve reviewed the boot priority list and confirmed the right drive is chosen.
Sure thing, buddy. You're saying if you don't have the M.2 slot, everything functions properly. But once you plug it in and start using it, problems pop up. That makes sense. You're wondering why the setup works until the actual use begins, then errors appear. You're also thinking about using tools like AOMEI Partition Assistant to install and format the M.2 correctly. If that's what you've tried, it should help avoid those issues.
The issue continues regardless of whether the M.2 was present. I referred to the M.2 since the problem started immediately after installation.
