Hello, I'm facing issues setting up the Kali Linux live CD for use on an iMac. When I press alt during startup and choose EFI boot, the menu opens but doesn't freeze—yet I need to disconnect the power cable to restart the Mac. I made the CD using these steps: 1. Opened terminal 2. Viewed screenshot 3. Launched Etcher (https://www.etcher.io/) 4. Rebooted and entered the live environment if needed. Any suggestions? I'm running OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 (14F1024) on a 21.5-inch iMac with a 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5, 4 GB RAM, Radeon HD 6750M, and the adapter is working fine otherwise.

I don't have access to a Windows PC, but Rufus can simplify the process.

Unfortunately, I can't connect to a Windows PC since mine is offline. Would using WineBot be an option, or would it not function properly?

Absolutely, I understand. Unetbootin is available for Mac and works as a straightforward graphical tool to burn files from the provided link.
