If it isn’t too costly or difficult to obtain, I’d consider using it. Perhaps discuss it further in the photography/video forum—I’m not very confident with camera details. A burnt cable is a burnt cable, which is never ideal. Can you tell if it’s actually burnt or just dust or a light smudge?
