I've upgraded to a 3080 but am experiencing issues.
I bought the EVGA 3080 ftw3 to upgrade from my 2070 super. I'm using an AMD 3700x with 32GB RAM on a VENGEANCE AORUS X570 ELITE board. My CPU is cooled by a Corsair water kit, and everything runs on a Corsair RM 750x. The issue is my PC freezing, low FPS on YouTube, and sometimes no video at all. I tried a R1000x to check for power issues, but the same problems persist. It's unclear if it's a power supply problem, a cable issue, or a defective card. Need help figuring this out.
750W is the lowest power requirement for a PSU suited to your 3080. Are you connecting just one cable to the GPU? Have you considered using two?
I use a 3700x with a 3080 ftw3 ultra on an rm750, everything works fine. Have you tried DDU? It requires three things.
I executed ddu to remove and restart, then installed the 3080 and the latest Nvidia driver. It seems the same version works for both the 2070 Super and the 3080. Are you missing something?
