I’m having trouble getting OBS or NVIDIA ShadowPlay to capture high-quality video. I’ve experimented with various OBS configurations and still end up with poor results. My ShadowPlay settings are: Quality – High Resolution – In Game (2160p 4K, 1440p HD, 1080p HD), Bitrate – 50Mbps, Frame Rate – 60FPS. I’ve tried higher resolutions but the output remains low quality. My OBS settings look like this: Recording Settings – Format – MPEG-4 (.mp4) Video Encoder – NVIDIA NVENC H.264 Encoder with Rate Control (CQP CQ Level 18, 0s preset, P5: Slow), Tuning options – High Quality, Multipass Mode, Single Pass Profile, high Look Ahead, GPU enabled, 2 Max B-frames, Base Resolution – 2560x1440 Scaled, Downscaled – 1920x1080, Filter – Bicubic with sharpening and 16 samples. The common FPS is around 60. Updated October 31, 2023 by craftspells
