XMP remains available for K processors; simply adjust your BIOS and enable XMP. Review your motherboard specifications for instructions on activating it. Generally, ReBar improves performance significantly—last night I tested Witcher 3 at 1440p with max settings reaching 180-200fps, while using ReBar boosted it to 190-212fps. This was useful for assessing the impact before the latest update.

Other titles to consider include Elden Ring, Sonic Frontier, Hades, Dishonoured, and more. You might enjoy the knife from Dunwall, Risk of Rain 2, and Kena’s games. It seems you’ve had a great time this year—maybe others will too!

30fps seems to cause noticeable stuttering when used daily at high frame rates.

I’m okay with 30 fps in certain titles as long as it’s genuine 30 fps. What causes a stuttering sensation is when frame rates and refresh rates don’t match nicely, which is why my screen is set to 120Hz. That makes 30 fps work well for many games. Motion blur also affects how smooth something looks—turning it off can change the feel, except for Tekken where the blur is intentional and feels different.

It was originally dependent on the chipset, requiring a Z chipset for access. They adjusted it later to include it with B chipsets as well. I’m not sure if this changed recently, but my B560 model does support it.

I guess I ended up loving this game somehow. It’s been out of my hands for a while—almost ten years—until I stumbled upon it in a cheap store. My friend convinced me to try it through a shared library. The game is really fun, and the music is great. Boss fights feel like the best final boss battles you’ve seen, though they’re just random ones with some cool flair. I had a good time overall, and the story was surprisingly nice too.

Heavy performance needs aren't the same as tuning. Welcome to "next gen." Still over 30 is fine. I tested it on a 4090, but my daughter used a 3060 with a UW 1440p screen (5600G CPU) and it performed much better than 30fps.

It's hard to picture anything at lower than 120 frames per second these days.
