I understand why switching from an FX-8350 to an i5 or i7 seems illogical. However, if selecting a new system were an option, it would present a completely different scenario. Still, aside from Intel's performance being superior, the FX-8350 remains a highly functional CPU.

Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously—making it ideal for video editing on a limited budget—other jobs requiring 4 threads or fewer on an Intel CPU, or even older Phenom processors work best.
