I’ve investigated the problem and discovered my Windows 10 setup is unstable in most scenarios. After three weeks of installation, I experienced frequent BSODs and games would crash after short sessions, especially when using newer tech like DX12. Issues included artifacting, kernel DX hard fault errors, DXGI GPU hangs in Battlefield 3 & 4, and Call of Duty frame times exceeding 300ms. Random watchdog timeouts occurred even at normal speeds. AMD drivers triggered BSODs, and I noticed green screen problems in Chrome. Fast mouse movements caused lag. Switching to Windows 7 64-bit resolved everything completely. The latest Windows 10 update was 1809. My system specs are: i7 4770-k, 16GB RAM, 2400MHz, ASRock Z87 Extreme, ATi R9 390X.

It seems you're dealing with a DX12 compatibility issue. The only fix available is for Windows 7, as it doesn't support DX12.

Only three of these titles work with DX11, it seems like the situation is pretty bad.

It seems 1809 has encountered several challenges that might relate to your current situation. Consider trying 1803 if you have it available.

Well, if they aren't all DX12, then your post shares another similarity. 3D GPU tasks, similar to memory issues or overflow. Keep an eye on memory clocks, voltages, and temperature. DX12 could be more challenging due to the API call methods. It might just be the AMD driver/bios you installed, but switching the OS probably helped if you noticed improvement.

Your equipment is functioning properly. The driver version remains consistent at 18.5.1.

It seems you're experiencing issues where some users take an unusually long time to recover from a Windows installation, despite having many programs and tools. It's quite unusual!

BSODs are irreversible crashes from the operating system (kernel panic appears in other OSes). These happen due to major problems. Often: bad hardware (including cables like SATA), driver problems, or corrupted files. To pinpoint the cause more accurately, please share the exact error message you see. Based on your description, it seems your GPU has faulty memory that’s showing up in Windows 10.
