It's too soon to begin MOBAs.
If you begin a MOBA and play it for a long time...you won’t easily move on to something else. I’ve been enjoying League of Legends for a while now, and it’s an excellent game. Yet I regret choosing DotA 2 instead. The League of Legends client is terrible...and both communities are full of toxic players. It’s up to you, I suppose. On another point, avoid spending money on these titles. Everything can be obtained through gameplay alone. I was too naive and bought skins, boosts, and other items that aren’t really worth it in the long term. In short, skip the cosmetics and choose the game that appeals to you most.
In PC gaming you still have time to begin if you focus on casual or light (occasional) competition. It works just like any other multiplayer game. You should grasp the fundamentals, understand game rules and strategies. Jot down key characters, items, etc. There are many helpful video tutorials on roles, positioning, and tactics. The key factor is time. To improve, you must play more and more. In mind, reaching top levels or professional status requires countless hours, which applies to all competitive titles such as CS2 and CSGO.
It's never too late to dive into a MOBA. Given their current popularity, now is an ideal time to try them out. I'd suggest starting with Dota since all heroes are available right away, whereas League often demands paying for characters or spending a lot of time to unlock them. Dota might be more challenging initially, but it offers a rewarding experience compared to League.
