This is the biggest game I've installed, using 164 GiB! That's double the size of my next biggest title, Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition.
Currently, it seems to be performing adequately, though I haven't encountered any of the CPU-intensive sections yet.
It's intriguing how the diesel generators in STALKER 2 resemble those in Metro Exodus, almost like they're the same asset.

Yeah. It's really massive and brings back memories of some of the recent COD titles, especially their enormous file sizes for their brief missions. I've gotten used to these dimensions because 100 GB plus file sizes are now quite typical.

Are big game files becoming a common pattern in AAA titles? I've seen GTA V with a huge size (~100 GB). If this trend exists, it might explain the need for larger storage solutions like 8 TB SSDs and HDDs.

Train Sim World enthusiasts: *laughs nervously* what a massive game this is! It really requires its own SSD to function properly, around 600GB with all the trains and routes set up. They claim 80GB on Steam, but that’s only for the core game—just the main menu, settings, and tutorial. The flight simulator seems to be even bigger, given the variety of planes and maps available. I’m not too keen on planes, though—I enjoyed H.A.W.X. mainly because of its arcade-style gameplay, but that’s about it.

600GB? Not possible! That's much larger than a standard 500GB SSD, which is unrealistic. Flight Simulator 2024 actually avoids this problem because it allows streaming a significant portion of its content, reducing the actual download size to around 25GB.
