Thank you for your feedback. I've rearranged the Corsair Hydro 115i, cleared all thermals using IPA, and then reapplied Arctic Silver. The cooling performance remains unchanged; even when the CPU isn't under heavy load, the clock speeds don’t drop to maintain temperatures. This seems unusual—anyone notice any problems with the front-mounted radiator?
I don't believe a 280mm radiator covers the needs of 200 watts. It was tough getting started with my FX 8350 (also a "125w" CPU) on a 240mm AIO. I think a firepower like Intel's latest CPUs with 10 cores and 20 threads aren't sufficient for that cooler.
Do you believe the CPU is overly capable for the cooler? I set HT to core 9/10 and still experienced typical high temperatures during heavy use.
