Hey everyone, I usually create short tutorial clips for my business. Because of work obligations, I had to switch from a desktop to a mobile setup. I previously owned an HP Omen with an i7-7700cpu, 16GB RAM, and a GTX 1050 Ti GPU – it worked well enough for most tasks, but the battery life was lacking due to its age. I needed a device with USB-C charging and a smaller screen for easier portability. That’s why I upgraded to a brand new Ryzen 5 5625U-powered HP Probook G9, which now has 16GB RAM. It performs nicely for most things, and the battery lasts all day. However, Da Vinci is acting strangely – it often freezes, showing “not responding” before recovering, then resuming. I sometimes try to cut clips in the footage, but it crashes repeatedly during editing, then restarts. The CPU, GPU, and SSD seem barely active in Task Manager, and files are usually only a few hundred MB (just 1080p at 24 or 30 FPS). My Windows 11 is up to date, and I recently updated the GPU and chipset drivers in the hope of fixing it, but nothing has changed. Right now, editing a video is frustrating because trimming 5 minutes down to 2.5 minutes feels like an eternity. I’m really struggling with this issue. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
