hi, i am completely new to making PC builds so be careful ๐Ÿ˜› recently i bought my first decent pc and it came with an AI suite III. that sound is really bad for you guys. i used the auto OC stuff that comes with it (it looked shiny) but now my pc is less stable after it. i tried to reset it, nothing works. deleting the ai suite, removing the mobo battery, using the 2 pin reset on my moboโ€”it just keeps my damn OC. i am so clueless right now and tried every tutorial just to get it back to default? anyway, here are some details asus prime z270-k, i7 7700k, nvidia strix 1080, 8gb crucial 16gb at 2400 mhz.

If you had no issues with Windows before installing this junk program, then the issue lies with the software itself. Taking a complete wipe and reinstalling Windows will remove every single change that the program messed up on your system settings.

Did you set up your custom settings inside the BIOS, save them, and restart your computer? This might restore it to normal.

thanks for the advice yes I already tried that too like resetting cmos, updating bios and of course before that removed ai suite and delete everything from it in registry editor i think i just have to live with it, it seems almost hardcoded inside the ai tweaker learned a good lesson there, never use software oc

You don't need to stay in that mess just by doing a clean install of Windows and not touching your computer parts.

I took out my SSD, turned on my computer, and went into BIOS. The settings didn't change at all. So why did they keep them that way? Would resetting to default in Windows make any difference? Probably not, but I'll give it a shot anyway.

If you never had issues when running Windows, then this new junk program is causing them. Running a fresh Windows installation deletes everything that that software changed in your system settings.

worth it to try this out! I am making sure everything is ready now. After many micro-freezes, things used to crash right after auto-OC but I never had any issues before that. So far, I have gone through a reinstall and it works perfectly. Let me know if the restart was successful! Thanks for all the help ๐Ÿ˜€
