Currently running an A320M-A Pro Max is performing excellently, meeting all my requirements. However, I recently acquired a "outdated" Bose stereo that supports a digital optical cable. Naturally, it's time to enhance my motherboard with one featuring a digital optical port. After browsing newegg.com, I discovered the ASRock B450M Steel Legend, which includes a digital optical output—exactly what I was seeking. While I wasn't looking for a specific board, I wanted something that offers a digital optical connection and represents an upgrade from my current setup.

Consider the ASRock B550 Steel Legend at a slight price increase of just ten dollars.

Could you share the connection? Also, with your 3200g and 450W power supply, are those constraints for this kind of upgrade? I'm just double-checking to be sure.

3200g isn't compatible with b550; opt for b450, x470 or x570 instead.

Are you on the correct path? Also, you mentioned needing a 1650 super and planning to switch to a Ryzen 5 processor instead of an APU.

You're thrilled with your B450 Steel Legend. The B450M Steel Legend seems like an excellent alternative.

Consider upgrading both the CPU and motherboard concurrently to the 5000 series with a B550 board.

You should look into more affordable RAM options. With your setup, consider upgrading to a higher-capacity or faster module if possible. A 256GB SSD would also be a smart addition for better performance.

Additionally, taking advantage of your recent WD_BLACK SN750 NVMe 500GB SSD with PCIe 3.0 x4 connectivity. Since you're on board, please order the M450M now and we can discuss the CPU later.
