Imagine playing games in stunning 8K resolution. With powerful hardware like a Titan X or a 980Ti, you could achieve around 30 frames per second. Using four Titan Xs with a superclocked version and an i7-5960X processor, plus 16GB of RAM, would likely push performance to impressive levels. It’s possible to run games at their highest settings in such detail.

You learned this from recent discussions about game performance, specifically around 5-10 frames per second using a single Titan X graphics card.

8K is for those who require ultra-high resolution. Who needs it? The answer depends on your use case.

1. Individuals with 8K displays
2. Absolutely none of them! I enjoy watching tests get conducted.

The value of 8K gaming lies in its immersive quality. I wonder if it’s worth chasing after when 4K becomes commonplace. Wouldn’t it be interesting to experience every detail of your character’s appearance while you look at the screen?

I grasp evaluations of three 4K screens. A new 8K monitor was just launched by a major manufacturer.

I doubt there are consumer 8K TVs available.

Imagine placing four 4K monitors in a 2x2 configuration to reach roughly 8K resolution. A high-end gaming rig could hit around 60 FPS on a 4K title with intense settings, which would translate to about 15 FPS when divided by four. If SLI worked flawlessly, you might see 60 FPS. For VR, that’s a reasonable target.

I’m excited about getting just two feet from a 20-foot monitor wall.
