Can you achieve a 4.2 GHz overclock on the ASRock B450M Steel Legend with your Ryzen 7 2700X using an aftermarket cooler? Also, is the ASRock B450M Steel Legend suitable for gaming purposes?
i don't fully understand what you're referring to. even with the top board, it's a significant overclock and i question if you'll achieve that with normal voltage. the board is decent, but as i've mentioned before, opt for a pro 4—it's similar and more affordable. ryanze still lacks substantial overclock potential, though the board should manage it just fine.
The board isn't suitable for that setup. A VRM fan becomes essential in that case. This issue doesn't make sense, but a 2700x rating isn't ideal for gaming compared to an i5-10600k or R5 3600.
