Windows compression settings. Thumbnails indicate arrows when files are compressed, but I've noticed this sometimes occurs even after compression is enabled. It might just be a minor issue.

You can disable the compression by adjusting your settings or disabling the feature entirely.

Compression activates automatically when storage runs low. Free up space on your operating system's main drive and disable compression. Also, if you're struggling with space, note that OneDrive and Dropbox store local backups; you can remove or turn off them to manage files more easily.
