I think the motherboard is the issue. Start by taking out the riser. Then add a cooler to the CPU. Check it without the case. Try a different power supply. See how the PSU performs in another system. What is the exact model of your Corsair PSU?
Corsair RM750w, 80+ gold – you're correct. I cleared everything out. I ran tests using just the single RAM stick, checking CPU power and the 24-pin connector. The problem kept happening; even after switching to a different PSU it didn't resolve. I'm considering swapping in another CPU to confirm the CPU and RAM are functioning properly, and if that's confirmed then the motherboard might need an upgrade. Should I go with the 5800X or the 5900X? Is an X570 board compatible with a B550?
including the riser? For me, 5800x3d was more affordable, so I chose that. It depends on the features and cooling, but generally 550 models are considered better because they're newer. I went with that. P.S.: So far it's running at 125W / 85°C max under default settings, and I think I could push it a bit higher, though I'd probably overvolt it as much as possible—unless I really try, it wouldn't be necessary. It's a very quiet CPU compared to my 3600, which was way more intense lol.
