Hello IT professionals, I hope you're doing well. I'm facing an issue with my motherboard. It suddenly stopped working, possibly due to a short circuit when I tried to replace it. The board powers on and fans spin, but the PSU appears normal. If the CPU is installed, it overheats and keeps beeping continuously. Without the CPU, there are no beeps. What should I do? My motherboard is a Gigabyte 970A DS3P Rev2.

Purchase a replacement unit—previously experienced a brief beep issue, yet no overheating occurred on the identical board... remained unable to determine the cause.

The only other idea I have is to disassemble everything and reassemble it meticulously. Ensure all connections are secure. Also, check if the cooler is correctly positioned.

It's working now. My PSU had an issue, so I swapped it out. I also got a spare RAM just to test things, and everything went well. One short beep meant success—POST confirmed. Then I set up the monitor quickly, and tada, everything was fine. Thanks!
