One of my machines stopped working a few days ago. The only sign is that when I press the power button, the supply briefly turns on for less than a second before cutting off again, then it tries to restart and repeats. I suspect the motherboard is dead. Something likely failed and cut off the current, and the clicking sound is from overcurrent protection. The board displayed code 00 but that doesn’t seem useful. I rechecked all cables and components one by one, but nothing changed. I also swapped another power supply—it still behaved the same. I reset the BIOS once, though it didn’t help much. If it’s truly dead, what are your thoughts on whether the processor is okay? It would be a shame to replace it for parts, but I’m not sure if getting a new board is worth it. CPU: i7-5930K Motherboard: ASUS X99-S Memory: 32GB CRUCIAL DDR4 2133MHz GPU: 4GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 970

It displays 00, which the manual notes is not functional. This suggests a potential issue since it hasn’t begun posting yet.
