One of my machines stopped working a few days ago. The only sign is that when I press the power button, the supply briefly turns on for less than a second before cutting off again, then it tries to restart and repeats. I suspect the motherboard is dead. Something likely failed and cut off the current, and the clicking sound is from overcurrent protection. The board displayed code 00 but that doesn’t seem useful. I rechecked all cables and components one by one, but nothing changed. I also swapped another power supply—it still behaved the same. I reset the BIOS once, though it didn’t help much. If it’s truly dead, what are your thoughts on whether the processor is okay? It would be a shame to replace it for parts, but I’m not sure if getting a new board is worth it.
