Have you considered trying the EaseUs ToDo Backup program? It’s available for free and can be downloaded from the provided link. I’ve used it on my USB drive, performing a complete full backup or individual partitions. I haven’t tested it on a boot drive yet—feel free to try it yourself!

He seems unsure about placing the SSD in the current build. Instead, he suggests backing it up to erase it and install Windows for the alternative setup. If he later decides to revert to the netbook, he can restore the previous data. That’s how I interpreted it.

I planned to keep it solely for data storage—250GB EVO for operating systems and apps, 120GB EVO for general use, and a 1TB Barracuda for gaming and virtual machines. If needed, I’d replace the existing HDD entirely, even though XP feels sluggish.
