Hello, this is an old problem, but I am reposting since I have not been succesfull in resolving this. So, I have a problem with my M.2 NVMe SSD (GP-GSM2NE3100TNTD (Gigabyte, 1Tb version)) and I hope you guys could help me out. The problem : My M.2 keeps disconnecting and I cannot access the information inside it. Sometimes, when I turn off my PC and disconnect the power cord, and turn my PC on again after that, the M.2 is working correctly. I managed to scan the M.2 with HD Tune -software and it showed no errors on the drive. Also, the M.2 works normally with other computers. Could this be a motherboard issue? I have tested both of my motherboards M.2 slots with no difference. Troubleshooting steps I have taken: 1. New drivers 2. Tested the drive in another computer with no issues 3. Scanned the drive - no errors 4.Tested the drive in all of my mobos M.2 slots, no difference. My PC specs: mobo: Asus ROG STRIX X470-F processor: Ryzen 2700X graphics card: Asus GeForce GTX 1070 OC ram: G.Skill Trident Z RGB psu: 550W Seasonic Focus+ boot ssd: 500gb Samsung EVO I hope someone could help me or that someone has had the same problem and knows a fix to this. Thanks in advance.

You’ve likely already saved the drive, just in case. Could you confirm the testing time on another machine and how quickly it becomes unstable after the drive loads? What version of your BIOS do you have installed? Is there an update available? I’m not very familiar with newer hardware, but double-check that your motherboard supports the correct interface (SATA or NVMe, or both). You mentioned a problem with a laptop using SATA on one side and NVMe on another—maybe that’s relevant. I think you posted on r/pcgamingtechsupport: https://www.reddit.com/r/pcgamingtechsup..._randomly/. Have you reached out to Asus support and the drive manufacturer? There’s a discussion about this issue on r/buildapc as well. The suggested solution seems to involve a faulty PSU, though I’m not sure. Good luck with troubleshooting!
