I know exactly what he's experiencing. I understand his perspective fully. I'm playing BF1 at 1440p, and there are certain textures—like those wood details in the third mission of Friends in High Places—that look noticeably low quality. Not all of them, just some. I can try to ignore them, but once you're near them, they become very blurry. The game itself isn't bad, though some textures are only 720p.
Never played the SP. The MP looks great. Best looking Game 2016.
There are a few in MP as well. Check for wooden structures. It could be an issue with texture loading because when bullets hit, the impact model appears more red than expected. The game has great lighting and impressive post-processing, but some textures seem misaligned.
Texture dimensions are typically expressed in sizes like 1K (1024x1024), 2K (2048x2048), 4K (4096x4096), etc. They follow a different format than 16:9 and don’t directly correlate with your screen resolution except for monitors with higher PPI, which may highlight lower quality textures more clearly.
