It seems like your PC games have suddenly slowed down, and you're not sure what's causing it.
I got my PC last Christmas from Amazon. It was a prebuilt one, and at first it worked perfectly with decent graphics and around 180 fps. I could play most games smoothly. About a month ago, I downloaded a new game for Xbox and played it for a few weeks without much trouble. The only times I used the PC were for schoolwork. Recently, I started playing again, but my games are struggling now—low FPS and sometimes they freeze completely, even at the lowest settings. Games I used to enjoy like Fortnite, Subnautica, GTA, and others are really hard to play. I’ve checked forums and tried a few fixes, but nothing seems to help. It’s frustrating because playing games isn’t as fun anymore.
My system details are:
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB
- CPU: AMD FX 8300
- RAM: 16GB
- Motherboard: m5a78l m lx3
You can check your PSU by looking at the CPU temperature display and seeing if it's within normal range. If it's high, you might want to verify the PSU's capacity or consider upgrading for better performance.
