I go often in this menu , and this pisses me off every damned time WHY DO I NEED TO CLICK ADVANCED TO CHANGE RESOLUTION ... THERE IS SO MUCH FREE SPACE ! Or change orientation in "advanced" settings ...

It's not really an issue... It's just something you only do occasionally, around once or twice a year.

I had to adjust this regularly each week because I used multiple monitors, and I was playing CSGO on stretched settings.

Just a handful, maybe only once during its life in the monitor.

Because changing the resolution isn't typical. The graphics card needs to recognize the monitor's resolution properly when connected. This is usually a setting you don't often adjust. It doesn't imply you have extra space; just avoid filling it with unnecessary options.
