Hello everyone, I recently installed a new computer and encountered two issues. Here are the details: The system boots only after performing a power-down. During normal operation, fans spin up but the power indicator remains active. The motherboard lacks diagnostic lights, making it hard to pinpoint the fault. After some research online, I suspect either the motherboard or the power supply might be the culprit. However, the second issue points more strongly toward the motherboard itself. When attempting a BIOS update, it fails. Using the motherboard’s flashback function doesn’t help—its LED stays on during the process, indicating a failure. When I try a standard BIOS flash, the PC shuts down immediately as the progress bar appears and the system attempts to restart, but it only works after turning off and powering down. I also need to perform a power-down after making any BIOS changes. If you have any advice on troubleshooting steps to identify the problem before considering a replacement, I’d appreciate your help. Thanks to anyone who reads this.

Additionally, your BIOS version is 3.30, and you attempted to flash it to 3.50.

It is a new motherboard ? You should return it for exchange or refund while you can. As inconvenient it is, this is best to get a fully functional board than a workaround for a defective one. Good luck !

Remove everything from the case and begin with the simplest setup—just a stick of RAM and GPU. If it functions and you can access BIOS, set it to default and then install the SSD. If that succeeds, add components gradually, test each one, and repeat until stability is achieved or failure occurs. If everything works without the case, verify the case for problems and reassemble carefully, testing step by step until complete.
