I've checked both options and, aside from the better design and overall look, there aren't any benefits that justify the $5 monthly fee. OBS is completely free, and it just feels a bit more straightforward. Could anyone help me see why it's worth paying? Also, xSplit free caps at 30fps, which seems quite low by comparison.

OBS can seem complicated at first, but once you learn how to operate it, it functions very well.

Are you sure the convenience of getting started with xSplit justifies the cost? It could be a good choice for certain users.

obs is actually quite simple. Before using it, I struggled a lot with Xsplit, but once I got started with obs, I was able to begin quickly and understand the basics. Most of what Xsplit offers is also covered by obs, which is what they advertise.

Consider this: OBS and xSplit aim to deliver your screen to viewers. If one works well and is free, the need for xSplit at $5 a month becomes unnecessary.

Consider giving OBS a try for a short time and check how it works. I don’t have much experience with these tools, so I’m at a disadvantage here.

I’m not really into this software. I was just wondering why xSplit charges for its services. I do use OBS occasionally for recording gameplay, but not very often.

I rely on obs, but occasionally switch to xplit to sync your social media for wider reach. You can easily share via tweets or Facebook posts, which makes sense. Still unsure why a $5 fee is worth it, but it seems more appealing visually.
