Changing the video output settings won't resolve the issue, since it's been a consistent problem even before switching from the 1070ti to the 3080. The problem has persisted over time, especially with the older model.

Sure, I'm considering upgrading my setup but am leaning toward DDR5 and a newer AMD motherboard. I'd like to verify if my power supply is actually the issue before investing in a replacement.

It's not the easiest approach, but you can purchase a fresh power supply unit to evaluate its performance. It should hold up well even after additional upgrades. It seems the choice between PSU and motherboard is similar, with the PSU being the better option to replace first.

It's true, it's disappointing I have to bring my PSU to the next build now. I also see a lot of noise from it, maybe it's just the coin whine at first, but it could actually be the fan spinning up.

The 1070 Ti is an older GPU with lower efficiency, possibly using more power. Contact a nearby tech store to check if they have a tester available.
