I purchased an i5 2500K roughly two weeks ago. Recently, I observed that when adjusting the CPU speed, it only displayed up to 3.7GHz. Since your motherboard supports overclocking, someone might be able to assist.

I don't have a motherboard. Could you clarify what you're asking about?

H61's performance boost seems possible. You might have required a P series in the 60s lineup.

It appears your BIOS lists an overclocking section, and a quick search confirms the board supports such features.

The review indicates you can boost the base clock speed, though the increase is modest—around 107 MHz.

Test it now. It should not function officially. Unclear if BIOS updates activated it. Consider enabling internal PLL OV and adjusting the CPU ratio to 40.
