Hi, english is not my first lenguage so be patient please 😅:
I recently solicited the RMA for a CV550 because it started to make a really awful noise after some years (that a clean up couldn't solve). Support ended up sending a replacement unit, although upon installing it I noticed a strange noise (different than before) like something was being "dragged".
I initially suspected the HDD, so I opened the case and heard another and more worrying "electrical" sound in the space beetwen the fan, the CPU cooler and the GPU. It's also where the PSU's CPU cable is connected to the motherboard.
It isn't instantanely, as it begins to sound after powering up the PC for a couple seconds.
Thing is, I narrowed it down to the PSU because it makes both sounds even with all other components being disconnected (besides the CPU cable). And these particular noises (specially the electrical one) didn't happened before.
Could it be the infamous "Coil Whine"?
My specs:
•MB Gigabyte AB350M-DS3H AM4'
•AMD Ryzen 5 3600
•CPU Cooler ID-Cooling SE-214
•ID Cooling XF-12025-SD
•2 Kingston HyperX 8GB DDR4
•HDD W.D. 1TB Blue
•SDD Gygabite NVMe M.2 2280 225GB
•GTX1660 Super 6GB

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
To better explain what you're facing, you may need to use other media alongside text. An audio clip with a video of the issue would be helpful.
Just a note, I wouldn't recommend using a CV unit in that build—something higher quality would be better, even though the wattage is correct.
Could you check the unit for any obstacles affecting the fan blades? For your setup, could you move to another wall outlet and see if the noise disappears?

Thank you for the introduction! A friend mentioned the same, but I ended up with this PSU because the economy in my country is quite poor (I'm from Argentina). It was the only option I could afford right now, although I regret it a bit. The blades appear to be in excellent condition and nothing is touching them during operation. I also attempted to connect the PC in three different rooms, but the electrical interference persists. This one is the electrical version: https://streamable.com/2s7tlu This one is connected directly from the PSU without any additional devices.
