Today I tried logging into Overwatch and playing a few games, but the system banned my account. I checked my email and found messages about being banned for "Hacks" and some verification steps that weren’t mine. My email account had been compromised recently, and I’d just changed the password and enabled two-factor authentication. I’m new to using hacks, and I haven’t played in a week because of other commitments. I submitted a standard live chat ticket, and the GM told me there were no signs of compromise and suggested I appeal. I’ve already sent one. What are the odds they’ll lift the ban? Or will I have to just purchase a new game?

It’s unlikely to get bans reversed unless you can show your account was compromised

Capture images of the messages indicating arrival times and your email login records. It will be extremely useful if it highlights that most accesses originate from a single source while the unusual ones come from unrelated locations.

It seems like I might need to accept the situation. Gmail only displays recent activity, and the oldest message is from this morning—all of them appear to come from my IP address. Sadly.

Unless you're at the Luke level of fame, you're not really. Blizzard might block you all day and won't complain much. They've even mentioned you can purchase another game if you're banned for hacking. They don't seem to care anymore. Profit takes priority over honesty.

They just sent me an email saying the decision won't change. I'm curious about whether the ban is connected to that email or my Battle.net account. My friend offers a lower-level account—should I still be able to safely connect my banned main email to his Battle.net account after moving it to a temporary email?

I haven't been banned, so I can't confirm for sure. From what I've heard on YouTube and streaming platforms, it seems to be just a Battle.net account. Unlike Epic's full hardlock for Fortnite, this doesn't prevent cheaters or hackers from making new accounts and buying games repeatedly. Their system appears to prioritize convenience over integrity.

In short, your account was compromised and the hacker used cheats during a battle.net game. The ban came after this incident. Your question is whether the email you received affects the decision, and if your friend’s account can be used to re-link your banned email to his battle.net profile after you transfer it.
