The article clearly aligns with their claims. Every advertised advantage of DX12, including those mentioned by Microsoft, appears to be absent in this test.

It keeps being targeted for removal from benchmarks, remains a significant power drain, stays outdated, and performance gains are limited by the hardware's limitations.

Hey there, check out the DX12 GPU and CPU performance test results from PCPer. This test shows some issues with NVIDIA drivers—probably not what you expected. It seems AMD might have had better support, but the search tool isn’t very user-friendly.

Yeah... feel free to repost. I don't agree with those benchmarks either—either they're completely off or the game is broken in favor of AMD. That wouldn't come as a surprise after seeing the star swarm demo. It was built specifically to showcase the Mantle graphics. Interestingly, once Nvidia released their massive dx11 update, their cards started outperforming AMD Mantle for a while. I suspect they tweaked the demo again later to boost AMD performance. Not too sure about that part.

The reasoning isn't clear to me. The results were the same for both Nvidia and AMD, which suggests something about AMD's Dx 11 driver might be poor.

It doesn’t really assist AMD; instead it highlights the lack of optimization in their DirectX 11 code. Their performance doesn’t surpass AMD, as they essentially match up under DX12.

Someone doesn't mind if their graphics look terrible with dx11; they're focused on making sales. The bigger picture matters—more people buying cards, even fake ones, will benefit the whole industry. Amd needs funding right now. Let's go, Amd! Whoa!

A vast collection of DirectX 11 titles remains useful even after DX12 takes hold. Most players are likely to keep using DX11-only graphics cards for the foreseeable future. Upcoming releases will probably support both DX11 and DX12 compatibility. Ensuring strong backing is really crucial.

When searching for a new graphics card, do you check benchmarks for past titles or current releases? Are you interested in whether it will handle Battlefield 3 well or anticipate its performance on Battlefield 5? I’m not suggesting focusing only on dx11 metrics, but from a marketing perspective, dx12 performance plays a much bigger role in driving future GPU sales.
