It’s not necessarily a bad idea to purchase a newer AMD CPU if it fits your needs and budget. The situation depends on the specific model, compatibility with your system, and whether you’re upgrading for performance or efficiency.

With so many buyers on the forum, things seem okay now. I’m thinking about skipping Microcenter on my commute and swapping the 7700X for a cheaper model. It’s around $419 right now, and I expect it to drop below $400 soon.

It's incredible how serious this situation really is, but how many genuine chips were affected? I didn't notice anything unusual; my 7900X has worked perfectly since October. Make sure to update your BIOS.
