Hi, your Z690 Aorus Elite with an i9 12900KS is handling high workloads well, but reaching nearly 100°C during extreme benchmarks is unusual. At idle it’s normal around 30°C, and under regular gaming it should stay between 65–78°C. The heat is expected given the CPU’s power demands, but if it consistently hits such high temps, you might want to check cooling efficiency or consider a better thermal paste. Overclocking isn’t enabled, so the issue could be related to workload intensity rather than hardware limits. It’s not necessarily a red flag unless temperatures remain consistently high.

I wouldn't be concerned.

Consider lowering the voltage, opting for a more powerful cooler, or trying the Thermal Grizzly Contact Frame. Many early reviews for the 12900k highlighted the Corsair H150i as a solid choice, and switching to another AIO made a noticeable difference. Pair it with an Arctic 420 for even better performance.
