Hello, I tried lowering the voltage on my notebook to reduce heat, but I’m unsure why Intel XTU or Throttlestop won’t let me adjust it. The FIVR Control in Throttlestop doesn’t indicate a lock, yet I can’t change the settings. My machine is an MSI GL65 9SEK, and I’ve followed some overclock tutorials in BIOS, though they didn’t help. Can someone explain why this happens and suggest a solution?

To enable CPU voltage control in Windows 11, turn off VMX and related virtualization settings in the BIOS. The ThrottleStop screenshot displays unusual numbers in the turbo ratios area, specifically a value of 0.3799 for voltage. These indicators suggest ThrottleStop isn’t accessing or modifying the voltage control register. In earlier Windows Insider releases, turning on WSL2 might also trigger this issue. Each time you disable something, restart and remove the ThrottleStop.INI file before using ThrottleStop.
