Hey guys and gals. I'm sure this question gets asked a lot, so I'll make it quick. Is it worth getting into Star Citizen (purchasing all required packages) at this point? Is there gameplay and features readily available for a real "fun" experience to justify a purchase? How's the player base? Alive or dead? Or should I just stick with Elite: Dangerous?
I’m focusing on lots of gameplay and features right now. We’re gearing up for an arena fighting experience with ships, a demo of Arc Corp on the ground that’s quite impressive, and several hundred thousand kilometers circling around Crusader with moons and space stations that have missions to complete. It’s really cool, and it shows just how vast the universe can be when you think about it—just a single planet but still in early stages.
Currently, it's best to hold off until 3.0 for a more enjoyable experience if you're looking for gameplay. I suggest securing a starter package—options like Aurora or Mustang with the Squadron 42 are solid choices, allowing you to upgrade later if desired.
