I’m not a big fan of BF4, but I’m planning to try it out once my GPU is ready. I’ve seen some videos and liked the Hardline version a lot. It seems similar to Hardline except for the cops and robbers theme. Should I jump in now and play during the holidays, or wait until October to get Hardline? BF4 is currently £29.99, while pre-ordering Hardline would cost £50—worth it? Or should I hold off?

The value of a game hinges on the individual's preferences. Ask someone who owns the game to borrow or play it and share your thoughts. Alternatively, try to get another way to obtain it to test your interest before deciding to purchase. No harm done.

BF4 and Hardline are completely different experiences, let's clear that up right away. I really liked the two game modes in the Hardline beta more than the standard Battlefield ones, and I think it’s up to you to choose what suits you best. If you prefer massive maps where you mostly sit inside a vehicle to win, go with BF4. But if you enjoy more infantry-based play with dynamic modes like Hardline, you’ll find it better.

I liked the hardline approach but it's clear they share some traits. The main differences aren't obvious, yet people are expecting a completely new experience. In reality, there are enough overlaps to adapt the offering for customers.

The PC edition of BF4 offers a significantly improved experience compared to the console version. While the modifications aren't extreme, the gunplay on PC feels much more refined. For those who enjoy vehicle-based gameplay, the differences between platforms are minimal. But if you prefer playing as infantry, you'll be glad you purchased it for PC.

I wouldn’t normally purchase it, but since it came with my 290, I thought it was worth a try. So far, I’ve spent around 50 hours.

It intensifies even more. It feels like a fantasy. And all that is happening is contributing to improvement.
