Arkham Knight's launch on PC seems surprisingly smooth given the performance issues, especially after only two hours of play. I already asked for a refund from Steam, and it’s odd that I preordered the CE way back for PS4 five months ago. The game feels quite low-end, with noticeable frame drops—like 20 frames when using afterburner—and even indoor scenes vary by that amount. While the graphics aren’t terrible, the overall experience feels disappointing. It makes me wonder if developers prioritize other platforms over PC optimization or if they simply don’t care about performance.
becoming significantly more challenging to enhance games on a PC
I received a new NVIDA graphics driver update that references Arkham Knight.
It should be resolved in a few weeks. It's better to hold off until then and buy; that way you'll get the best experience.
No justification allowed! They can slow down if needed instead of forcing us into poor experiences. You could say it's tough to build an electric car for long trips with a battery that only lasts half a mile—just promise us we'll fix it soon. Maybe we'll improve it to cover more distance next time...? Got my point.
